Retracing Wandering Italia: Games of Light in Ortona dei Marsi

That evening the sky gave a fantastic show, between black clouds and a sun that did not give up and came back to shine even stronger.

Yet it was not those games of light that occupied my thoughts, but the silence and solitude that I began to feel more and more mine: the first real stage, almost 40 km, entirely alone; the sense of freedom, but also, in fact, realising for the first time that I was utterly alone in facing my grand adventure.

Yet, in my solitude, I was already starting to have the first contact with the thousand smiles, help and meetings with the local people who then ended up making my trip unique.

Here, I remember that: the peace, the silence, the smell of burning fireplaces, the sound of bells.
And a great desire to continue living eternal moments…

Nel 2018 ho intrapreso un viaggio, a piedi e da solo, dal Parco Nazionale d’Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise verso Trieste, risalendo l’Appennino e affrontando le Alpi.
