Male fallow deer in a golden sunset
I was returning home after another day in Nature when I saw this scene from the freeway.
I slow down, take the next exit, U-turn, go back, go out and take the side street. I stop: I really like the scene; the sunset light gives the landscape, and the main subject, a magical aura. I might get closer, I think, if I parked up ahead and, hidden by a farm, tried to trick them.
But then I think: why? What good is it?
So I stay there, get out of the car and from afar, I enjoy the scene through the telescope and the tele-zoom.
Great feeling: me in peace, their peace.
