Forests Fairytales: Spring

Spring is the season of change, rebirth, and slow but inevitable change that is felt in Nature when everything is preparing for summer to explode and scream at life finally.

Yet, in Sweden, spring is not an actual season, a gradual progress as, for example, it can be in Italy or in other countries, where the trees alternate in the coating of buds and colours. Here is an exhausting wait, a continuous search and desire to get out of the cold and greyness of winter, which seems to want to last forever.

Sure, the forests are now filled with the chirping of birds, but they are still bare, still, inert.

But spring advances, and, like the most beautiful magic, it can come in a moment: close your eyes, and when you’ll reopen them, everything explodes into the most sparkling green you have ever seen.

It’s another spell from Mother Nature: it’s life!
