Anche nel solitamente grigio e buio inverno svedese possono capitare delle giornate perfette, quando il sole splendente ti fa dimenticare i quasi dieci sotto zero, e l’aria è così limpida che diventa perfetta per un’uscita fotografica.
Se poi si aggiungono 5 aquile di mare che si contendono la carcassa di un’oca, dando spettacolo anche se molto lontane (le foto sono ritagliate molto, ma grazie alle condizioni ancora buone) non ci si può proprio lamentare, anzi!
L’unico problema, purtroppo, è l’influenza aviaria che sta colpendo pesantemente anche la Svezia. E allora un pensiero va a queste aquile e agli altri rapaci: certo, un pasto gratis va sempre bene, ma a quale costo?
Fortunatamente, nonostante queste foto siano di inizio gennaio, non sono state registrate ritrovamenti di aquile morte per colpa dell’influenza.
Noi, intanto, continuiamo a incrociare le dita…

Even in the usually gray and dark Swedish winter, perfect days can happen, when the bright sun makes you forget almost ten below zero, and the air is so clear that it becomes perfect for a photoshoot.
Then if you add 5 white-tailed eagles competing for the carcass of a goose, giving a show even if very far away (the photos are cropped a lot, but thanks to the weather conditions, still quite good) you can’t really complain.
The only problem, unfortunately, is bird flu, which is also hitting Sweden heavily. So a thought goes to these eagles and other birds of prey: sure, a free meal is always fine, but at what cost?
Fortunately, although these photos are from early January, there have been no records of eagles that died from the flu.
In the meantime, we continue to cross our fingers…
