Dopo essersi rilassati, e probabilmente non percependomi come un pericolo, i cinque volpacchiotti si sono messi a fare quello che riesce loro meglio: giocare.

A turno si azzuffavano, lottavano, mordevano; oppure arrivavano alle spalle per tendere una vera e propria imboscata ad un fratellino che magari si stava solo rilassando al sole, imparando così anche le tecniche di caccia.

Il più divertente di tutti da osservare, è stato sicuramente il più piccolo che, nonostante le sue dimensioni ridotte rispetto ai fratelli, era quello sempre pronto ad attaccare ed infastidire gli altri, tanto che due si sono dovuti alleare per averne ragione.

Credetemi, è stato un’esperienza meravigliosa vederli così da vicino e poterli seguire nella loro vita quotidiana.

Sicuramente avrei voluto passare più tempo con loro, magari giornate per seguirli nella loro crescita, ma, di comune accordo con altri fotografi, abbiamo deciso di non abituarli troppo alla presenza umana e di non spargere troppo la voce: questo è un periodo molto importante per i piccoli di tutti gli animali e loro, e la loro sicurezza, vengono sempre prima di tutto.

After relaxing, and probably not perceiving me as a danger, the five little foxes started doing what they do best: play.

In turn they fought, attacked, bit; or they would come behind to ambush a little brother who was perhaps just relaxing in the sun, thus also learning hunting techniques.

The funniest of all to observe, it was certainly the smallest who, despite his small size compared to his brothers, was the one always ready to attack and annoy others, so much so that two had to team up to put him down.

Believe me, it was a wonderful experience to see them so closely and to be able to follow them in their daily life.

Surely I would have liked to spend more time with them, maybe days to follow them in their growth, but, in agreement with other photographers, we decided not to accustom them too much to the human presence and not to spread the word too much: this is a very important period for the little ones of all animals and they, and their safety, always come first.

  2. Bravi a decidere di non stazionare troppo a lungo vicino a loro, la tentazione di insistere nell’incantevole osservazione dev’essere fortissima!
    Io invece oltre alle rondini ho iniziato ad osservare dei codirossi neo genitori ma, giuro, non voglio imporgli la mia presenza, sono loro che hanno deciso di venire a vivere dentro una persiana rotta a pochi metri da me! Anzi, mi viene un dubbio: non è che sono tutti “sti volatili che hanno deciso di provare ad addomesticare me? 🤣

        I was offline in all manners, until I could finally spend some days with my daughter, in Poland.
        Now I’m in Italy, recharging with my family and friends after 9 months of distance.
