Sono andato a trovare questa coppia di allocchi (non la stessa di questo video), perché, avendo saputo che amano stare all’aperto durante il giorno, volevo riprendere interamente questo meraviglioso rapace e non a mezzo busto come per l’altra coppia.
Gli allocchi sono animali attivi principalmente di notte, e passano la maggior parte del giorno a sonnecchiare, quindi non era certo un video pieno di azione quello a cui avevo pensato. Ma volevo riprenderli nella loro vita normale, nella loro intimità che, alla fine, mi hanno regalato.
Ho passato più di tre ore, e fatto più di un’ora e mezzo di riprese, per un paio di minuti di video, ma vi assicuro che ne è valsa la pena: vederli e ammirarli tutto il tempo, immerso nella Natura che nel cinguettio degli uccelli annuncia il suo risveglio, mi ha fatto sentire in pace, in armonia ed in equilibrio con il mondo che mi circonda e nel quale vivo.

I went to visit this pair of tawny owls (not the same as in this video), because, having known that they love to be out of the nest during the day, I wanted to fully film this wonderful bird of prey and not half-length like the other couple.
Tawny owls are mostly active at night, and they spend most of the day napping, so it certainly wasn’t an action-video what I had in mind. But I wanted to film their normal life, their intimacy, which, in the end, they gave me.
I spent more than three hours, and did more than an hour and a half of filming, for a couple of minutes of video, but I assure you that it was worth it: to see and admire them all the time, immersed in Nature and in the twittering of the birds which announces the awakening season of the year, it made me feel at peace, in harmony and in balance with the world around me and in which I live.
