Il muschiato mostro della foresta! / The mossy monster of the forest!

Mentre facevo una passeggiata nella foresta, ho notato questo vecchio albero, completamente ricoperto di muschio, simile a un calamaro gigante disteso, i tentacoli ancora guizzanti nell’aria.
Non potevo scattare una foto per mostrare la sua lunghezza totale, troppi altri alberi nel mezzo, quindi ho deciso di provare a mostrare i suoi tentacoli muschiati, quelli di un vero mostro 😱

Ho deciso anche di scattare foto a diaframmi diversi, partendo da f4 📸 f11 📸 f16 📸 e f22 📸 per mostrare come la profondità di campo cambia a seconda dell’apertura.

Come potete vedere a f4 si ottiene più profondità di campo perché solo una piccola parte è a fuoco, e la sfocatura dà più senso di profondità. Al contrario, più chiudi il diaframma, più sarà a fuoco e la profondità di campo si ridurrà, infatti a f22 la foto risulta piuttosto piatta e caotica.

Personalmente sono indeciso tra f11 e f4, e voi?

While taking a walk in the forest, I noticed this old tree, completely covered by moss, resembling a giant squid lying down, its tentacles still darting in the air.
I couldn’t take a picture to show its full length, too many other trees in the middle, so I decided to try to show its mossy tentacles, those of a real monster 😱

I also decided to take pictures at different apertures, starting with f4 📸 f11 📸 f16 📸 and f22 📸 to show how the depth of field changes depending on the aperture.

As you can see at f4 you get more depth of field because only a small part is in focus, and the blur gives more sense of depth. On the contrary, the more you close the aperture, the more it will be in focus and the depth of field will reduce: in fact at f22 the photo is rather flat and chaotic.

Personally I’m undecided between f11 and f4, and you?

  8. f4 e f22 sono due foto completamente diverse; i valori intermedi non li differenzio troppo, a livello di significato, e mi paiono tutto sommato varianti di f22.

    per forma mentis io preferisco la chiarezza e la nitidezza: non scelgo fra f4 e f22, ma tra questa e F11 e F16 scelgo f22.

    1. Probabilmente avrei dovuto fare anche un f8, per avere meno salto tra le prime due.
      Comunque, alla fine, l’apertura e il risultato, sono questione di gusti 😉

  11. Per le aperture si va a…gusto, commisurato al risultato che si vuole ottenere. Ottime foto e l’albero può essere paragonato al calamaro, alla tarantola e così via. Quando si crea un’opera che fa fantasticare lo spettatore, allora si può dire che l’autore è un artista.
