Luce nella nebbia / Light into the fog

Nel video su come fotografare la nebbia spiegavo come, dietro a molti scatti, ci sia un lungo lavoro di studio e di preparazione, sia per quanto riguarda la composizione che il momento migliore per scattare la fotografia.

Ma poi capitano anche momenti inaspettati, le sorprese che Madre Natura sa regalarci e che dobbiamo essere veloci a catturare.

Questo quanto successo guidando verso casa il giorno che ho registrato il video: stavo risalendo le pendici verso Stenberget, un punto panoramico da cui si ha una visuale aa 180 gradi sul Baltico che bagna le coste meridionali della Svezia, difronte Malmö ad una trentina di chilometri e, nelle giornate limpide, lo sguardo può arrivare fino a Copenhagen.

A mano a mano che salivo la nebbia si fa via via più rada, fino a quando un timido sole riesce a trafiggerla e inondare di calda luce un paesaggio fino ad allora freddo, impenetrabile, morente.

Parcheggio al volo, scendo e senza montare il cavalletto cerco di rubare quell’attimo inventandomi la migliore composizione possibile. Poi tutto si oscura di nuovo, ma quando giungo in “cima” sono sopra la nebbia e tutto si colora di oro.

E, con la fotografia, quell’attimo diventa eterno…

In the video on how to photograph the fog I explained how, behind many shots, there is a long work of study and preparation, both in terms of composition and finding the best time to take the photograph.

But then unexpected moments also happen, the surprises that Mother Nature knows how to give us and that we must be quick to capture.

This happened while driving home the day I recorded the video: I was climbing the slopes towards Stenberget, a panoramic point from which you have a 180-degree view of the Baltic that bathes the southern coasts of Sweden, with Malmö at about thirty kilometres away and, on clear days, the gaze can reach as far as Copenhagen.

As I climbed the fog gradually becomes thinner, until a timid sun manages to pierce it and flood with warm light a landscape that was previously cold, impenetrable, dying.

Parking on a rush, I get off and without mounting the tripod I try to steal that moment by inventing the best possible composition. Then everything darkens again, but when I get to the “top” I’m above the fog and everything turns gold.

And, with photography, that moment becomes eternal…

    1. Prima di tutto, grazie mille, poi ti dico una cosa: la Svezia offre tanto a livello naturale, ma qui nel Sud, spesso, sento la mancanza dei paesaggi Italiani, soprattutto le montagne! 😉
