Con l’inverno mite che abbiamo avuto, e con un marzo decisamente assolato, anche le cicogne hanno fatto il loro ritorno in Svezia, principalmente nella regione della Scania, dove possono essere facilmente avvistate.
Mentre il partner si adoperava per risistemare il nido, qualche centinaia di metri più in là, questo esemplare si dedicava alla caccia di ranocchie nella palude. E ne ha prese diverse.
Guardando questo spettacolo, si pone sempre lo stesso problema: è andata bene alla cicogna, meno bene alle rane.
Da che parte è giusto stare?
Da nessuna, penso in fondo, solo dalla parte della Natura.
Che, nonostante tutto, è perfetto equilibrio…

With the mild winter we had, and with an amazing sunny March, storks also made their return to Sweden, mainly in the County of Skåne, where they can be easily spotted.
While the partner was working to rearrange the nest, a few hundred meters faraway, this specimen was dedicated to hunting frogs in the swamp. And it took several of them.
Watching this show, the same problem always arises: it went well for the stork, less well for the frogs.
Which side is right to be on?
None, I think, only Nature’s side.
Which, despite everything, is perfect balance…
