Il Bramito del Cervo 2019 / Red Deer Belling time 2019 (1/2)

BRAMITO, GIORNO 1

Ecco le foto del primo giorno.
Di solito i cervi si raggruppano all’aperto durante la notte e fanno ritorno nella foresta alle prime luci dell’alba.
Ultimamente, però, li ho visti rimanere fuori anche durante il giorno, così ho cercato di raggiungerli e appostarmi prima che facesse completamente giorno.
I loro bramiti riempivano l’aria, li vedevo distanti e quasi indistinguibili nella penombra, mi sono avvicinato al fiume e, nascosto tra la folta vegetazione, ho aspettato.
Quel giorno hanno deciso di raggrupparsi e tornare tutti, circa un’ottantina, verso la foresta passandomi a veramente poche decine di metri di distanza.
I maschi guidavano il gruppo lanciando ogni tanto i loro forti richiami, mentre uno, forse il maschio alpha, mi teneva sott’occhio ad una distanza e con uno sguardo poco rassicurante…

Spariti nella foresta sono andato a cercarli seguendo il loro richiamo, appostandomi proprio lungo le loro tracce e vedendoli spesso passare a pochi passi da me senza neanche accorgersene.
Queste sono solo poche foto della meravigliosa esperienza che ho vissuto.

C’è stata una gara tra un cervo e un falco di palude. al fotofinish è chiaro che il cervo è arrivato secondo :😃

RED DEER BELLING TIME, DAY 1

Here are the photos of the first day.
Usually deer are grouped outdoors during the night and return to the forest at the first lights of dawn.
Lately, however, I’ve seen them stay out even during the day, so I tried to reach them before sunrise.
Their belling filled up the air, I saw them distant and almost indistinguishable in the twilight, I approached the river and, hidden between the bushy vegetation and I waited.
That day they decided to regroup and return all, about 80 of them, towards the forest passing by to just few dousins of meters away from me.
The males drove the group by throwing their strong call time to time, while one, maybe the alpha male, kept me under surveillance at a distance and with a face that I didn’t feel so safe…

Gone in the forest I went to search them following their call and their paths, sitting down and waitinng to see them often passing by just a few steps away without even noticing me
These are just a few photos of the wonderful experience I had.

There has been a race between a male deer and a western marsh harrier; by the photo-finish is clear that the deer came in second place 😃

  2. Stavolta hai superato te stesso!
    Ma queste foto si possono anche vedere in formato “normale” (non in sequenza, dove si vedono anche le frecce)? Mi piacerebbe condividerle.
    Finora ho fatto gli screenshot, cancellato le frecce e pubblicato, ma qui sono tante…

    1. Grazie mille, prima di tutto!
      Guarda, io uso lo slideshow per evitare la opzione di WP di vederle in formato originale e, quindi, scaricarle.
      è possibile vederle una ad una su Fb, ma li la risoluzione è talmente scarsa che non mi importa.
      In ogni caso so che alcuni “rubano e scaricano” senza il mio consenso, ma cerco di tutelarmi un po’ visto che sto preparando il mio E-commerce.
      Mi immagino il lavoro e ti ringrazio per voler condividere… ma se fai solo il reblog?

      1. Ho capito. Tuttavia, sai che quando ho condiviso delle tue foto ti ho sempre citato e forse ho anche aggiunto il link. Non ho ben capito cosa sia il reblog, né se sia “nelle mie corde”. Se non ti dispiace, sempre alle condizioni di correttezza di cui sopra, quando avrò tempo farò alcuni screenshot e te lo comunicherò prima di, eventualmente, pubblicarli!

        Ti spiegavo il perché imposto il blog in questa maniera, ho avuto già esperienze di gente che prende senza chiedere e spaccia per suo…
        Ma quelli ci saranno sempre comunque…

      This male was holding back from the rest of the pack, don’t know if he was calling and alarming the others or still looking for… company 😃
      Just know he wasn’t looking “happy” to see me too close and I didn’t feel safe at some point.
      Other males were calling as well, guiding females and cubs into the forest: very nice experience to see!
